Vipers SC will welcome back striker Tito Okello when they take a short trip to face hosts Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.

Okello has missed the club’s last two league games – URA and Maroons – after he was stretchered off in the goalless draw against KCCA FC.

He has scored three goals for the Venoms and his return will be a major boost for the side that seek to break free.

After KCCA FC’s goalless draw with Proline FC, Vipers will seek to benefit from their opponents’ flaws to stretch the lead to six points with a win.

Fred Kajoba’s side, who has a game in hand Vs Wakiso, has 53 points, three above KCCA FC.

They come into the game in destruction mode after a 5-0 demolition of Maroons in their last league encounter.

Vipers’ captain Halid Lwaliwa is still sidelined with an injury and set to miss the encounter while Farouk Musisi may need a late fitness test after returning to training.

Bobosi Byaruhanga is in line to start after he started from the bench against Maroons while Frank Zaga Tumwesigye may make the match-day squad.

Can The Purple Sharks Offer Any Resistance?

Wakiso Giants are yet to lose a home game in their last four games. Two wins (Onduparaka and Maroons) and as many draws (Bright Stars and Kyetume).

However, they lost to Busoga United 1-0 in their last encounter.

The reverse fixture saw Wakiso Giants fall 1-0 to Vipers at Kitende and will be hoping for an improved performance.

They are yet to upset any ‘big’ team since beating URA FC in the first round but will fancy their chances this time round.

Wakiso will be without Ibrahim Kiyemba, Tom Masiko and Duncan Sseninde who are on loan from Vipers.

It remains to be seen if Viane Ssekajugo will make the squad after limping off against Busoga United in the early stages at the Mighty Arena.

According to the club website, Hassan Wasswa Dazo will not play because of ‘domestic issues’ while Ayub Kisalita makes a return.

The Purple Sharks, under coach Deo Sserwadda, are 11th on the log with 29 points.
