Maroons Football club have reportedly sacked head coach Douglas Bamweyana.
Kawowo Sports’ David Isabirye has broken the news on Saturday morning.
This follows a string of poor results registered by the club, and a strong decision seemed inevitable.
Bamweyana, appointed in July last year, has won six, drawn as many from the 25 league games this season.
Despite knocking out Express FC in the Uganda Cup, Maroons are 14th in the 16-team log, inside the red zone, with 24 points.
Maroons lost to Express FC 1-0 on March 5, their fifth straight league loss of the ongoing 2019/20 season.
In the poor spell, the Luzira-based club has managed just a point out of a possible 21 in the last seven league games.
The club reportedly held a crisis meeting to evaluate the coach prior to the Vipers game but the team went on to lose 5-0 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
