Uganda is optimistic for an improved performance ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In Rio Olympics in 2016, the Uganda Olympic Committee fielded a team of 21 athletes, 14 men and 7 women, to compete only in athletics, boxing, and swimming at the games.

This was the Uganda’s largest delegation sent to the Olympics since 1988.

However, Uganda failed to win a medal in Rio De Janeiro.
