Betway Power got off their preseason campaign on a wrong note after a 66-70 loss to KCCA Men in a game played at YMCA Court, Wandegeya.
Power trailed 36-42 at halftime, reduced the gap to two points (50-52) going into the last quarter before running out of steam in the game they looked second best throughout.
Denis Balungu, new signing who joined as a free agent after a release from KIU Titans, led the way with 17 points for Power.
Isaac Afidra had 13 points and Yesman Bushiri added 11 in a losing effort for the Betway-sponsored side.
The result, though less might be read from it, will be a wake up call and sign of what is to come for Power who made overhaul changes after the 2019 season.
Notably, Power played without big man Ivan Lumanyika who is reportedly out of the country. Yani Niwa didn’t play as well.

Francis Mbuyi will still be the team’s big pillar.
KCCA missed Alleni Victor, Patrick Nininahizibwe and Wilson Otweyo.
