Bagoole, Kyetume Duo Face Off For UPL Player Of February

David Bagoole and Kyetume duo of Joel Mutakubwa and Robert Ssentongo are the three nominees for the UPL Pilsner player of the month of February.

The best player, voted for by fans and a committee set up by UPL, will be named and awarded this Monday at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.

Busoga United coach Abel Kikomeko Bogere and SC Villa’s Edward Kaziba have been nominated in coach of the month category.

In the month of February, Busoga United have won four of the five UPL games, with their only loss coming against Bright Stars 3-0. The club has moved to fourth with 42 points

Bagoole scored twice in the period, a goal each against BUL and URA FC. He also assisted twice and named player of the match thrice.

Kyetume shot-stopper Mutakubwa has conceded seven goals in five games without a clean sheet but has been named man of the match three times as the club moved two places and six points above the relegation zone.

He was man of the match against Wakiso Giants, URA and Proline.

Veteran forward Ssentongo has scored six goals, four assists and two man of the match accolades.

His six goals came against URA, Proline, Onduparaka (2) and Mbarara (2).
