Godwin Buule Kiwanuka Names His All-Time Best XI

Veteran shot stopper Godwin Buule Kiwanuka has selected his greatest lineup.

His dream team consists of players he has encountered throughout his playing career; those he has played with and against.

Buule, now at Bright Stars, has plenty of experience after previous stints locally with Vipers, Soana (now Tooro), Masavu (now Entebbe FC), Proline and Express FC.

The KKL graduate made his biggest mark when he helped Uganda to win the CECAFA U20 Championship in 2010.

He was recently summoned by Jonathan Mckinstry in the 34- player squad to start preparations for the 2020 CHAN tourney.

In his selection, Buule has not named any of his Bright Stars teammates.

He has Yasin Mugabi in goal. “I learnt a lot from Mugabi,” Buule told The-SportsNation. “As goalkeepers, we always learn from each other including modern ways. Mugabi is like a brother to me.”

Saddam Juma, Mike Mutyaba and Dan Mzee Sserunkuma are the only three players on Buule’s team that are currently playing in top flight.

“I played with Mzee in Kampala Kids League team, we were in the same team but different age groups,” Buule on Mzee Dan.

“We made many European tours with him and he was banging goals. He is a proven goalscorer, very talented and consistent.”
