Tooro United is a Ugandan football club based in Fort Portal and currently ply its trade in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The club was formed in 2007 as Soana FC after then owner Smart Obed bought Misindye FC.
Obedi acquired shareholder Spelito Ssesanga last year in June before the 2019/20 season kicked off.
Ssesanga recently confirmed to this website that he sold the club to Madam Alice Namatovu, who is the head of sales and marketing at BBS TV.
Namatovu, in an exclusive interview with The-SportsNation, said that she has not sold the club to anyone and “not aware” of Pemba’s takeover.
The embattled Tooro United is rooted at the rock bottom of the 16-team log with 22 points, three points adrift of safety with five games still on card.
The side recently sacked head coach Mohammed Kisekka – The third coach this season at the club after Wasswa Bbosa and Eric Ndifuna.
