Egypt’s Cairo International stadium has been named the most beautiful stadium in the world, per the poll on Spanish website, Marca.

Cairo stadium has garnered 119k votes as on Friday, a landslide against Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeau (44k) and Barcelona’s Camp Nou (26k) who came second and third in respectively.

Esperance’s Olympique de Rades came 10th, Mohammed V of Raja and Wydad was 11th, while South Africa’s Soccer city stadium came 27th.

The Cairo stadium is where Uganda Cranes played all its games in the 2019 AFCON including a 1-0 loss against Senegal in the knockout. It hosted the final where Algeria beat Senegal.

It was formerly known as Nasser Stadium.

It is an Olympic-standard, multi-use stadium with an all-seated capacity of 75,000.
