StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Express FC have received food relief for their players and coaching staff from sponsors Betway Uganda to support them during the coronavirus pandemic.
The contribution, worthy Sh5M, is fulfilment of the pledge Betway had ealier promised last month to their assets.
Each player, a total of 30, will receive 10kg of maize floor, Rice and Beans.
“We are proud and thank Betway Uganda for the gesture of availing our club staff with food relief for use during this lockdown, this goes a long way to keep our players motivated, concentrate and focus on their training schedule availed by our technical team as they stay home to be safe,” said Express FC CEO Hamza Junju.
The players collected the items on Wednesday from a store at Wankulukuku.
Betway Uganda sponsored assets manager Zakia Maseruka noted:
