Uganda Cranes coach Jonathan Mckinstry has asked striker Brian Aheebwa to “rest and recover before getting ready to go again.”
The Mbarara ace had an impressive season where he scored eight league goals and 10 assists for the Ankole Lions.
He consequently became the club’s all-time topscorer with 39 goals and earned himself a call up to the national team.
“Well done Brian on a good season,” Mckinstry said, while retweeting Aheebwa’s tweet.
“Now take the time to rest and recover before getting ready to go again.
“This is not the finish line – the race has only begun.”
The Federation of Uganda Football Association ended the season with still five rounds to go due to Covid19 pandemic.
