Bukenya On Why Wakiso Loan Spell Is His Best Season Ever

KCCA FC midfielder Lawrence Bukenya has termed his loan spell at Wakiso Giants last season as his best ever.

The soft spoken midfielder in an exclusive interview with this website said that he managed to play at least more games.

“Honestly speaking, my season at Wakiso has been my best. Although there are a few problems I faced as a player but all has been good,” he said.

“This has been my first season to have many games played compared to those I had at KCCA FC.

“However, I did not fulfill most of my targets as a player but hopefully next season.”

It should also be noted that the midfielder made it 21 times on the 18 man squad with the purple sharks, and scored one goal from 17 appearances.

It remains uncertain weather the midfielder will have his loan spell at Wakiso extended.

“Next season I have bigger dreams as a player,” Bukenya adds.

“I want to have regular football so I can command a starting place where I will be whether at Wakiso or KCCA FC. I will leave the other work for my agent.”

Bukenya has won the Uganda Premier League twice with KCCA FC, two Uganda Cup titles, one CECAFA club trophy among other accolades.

The midfielder has got two years pending on his contract with KCCA FC.
