URA FC Seeks To Appoint New Chief Executive

StarTimes Uganda Premier League side URA FC seeks to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer to head the secretariat.

Bridget Nakayenga has been an acting CEO since she was appointed on January 2, 2020.

Nakayenga replaced Ivan Kakembo whose contract was not renewed after expiring on November 30 last year.

Edward Kulubya has also held the same role at the club before.

“The club aims to attain efficiency and effectiveness in the key pillars of Governance, Business and Sporting in line with FUFA’s club Pro Agenda in an effort to achieve her objectives, the club seeks to hire the services of a Chief Executive officer (CEO) with relevant knowledge, expertise, skills, professionalism and experience,” reads a statement from the club.

“The CEO shall be the head of secretariat and shall work under the direction and guidance of the URA FC board to implement plans, strategies and decision board.

“Interested applicants must hold a degree in Business, Management, Sports Science, Administration, Human Resource or Marketing related courses and should have a minimum of three years in managing people in similar position. Being in possession of FUFA CEO or Famaco certificate will be an added advantage

Coach Sam Ssimbwa fell out with then CEO Kakembo.

URA FC were fifth with 40 points behind Vipers, KCCA, Villa and Busoga United when the league was ended due to Covid19 pandemic.
