Uganda Premier League side Express FC has released 18 players, The-SportsNation can reliably confirm.
Goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera and Baker Lukooya headline the list as the club looks to prepare for the new season.
The attacking trio of Dissan Galiwango, Frank Ssenyondo and Frank Kalanda has been spared, but whether Galiwango will remain at the club remains to be seen.
“Greetings to you all players,” reads a message to the players from new CEO Isaac Mwesigwa, as seen by this website. “I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for completing the season.”
“The technical team had a meeting led by head coach Wasswa Bbosa and reviewed the performance of every single player during the season and we would like to thank all of you for the great job done.
“But according to the club goal and target next season, the technical team concluded that the following players will not be part of the club next season.”

The Red Eagles finished 9th last season with 31 points after 25 games when the season was ended because of Covid19 pandemic.
The sweep has been inevitable for a club that added a new coach – Wasswa Bbosa – towards the end of last season.
The Wankulukuku based side who also parted ways with CEO Hamza Junju, are expected to sign a couple of players to fill the void.
Bbosa, as known, is expected to bring players from his former teams he has coached (Tooro United FC and SC Villa).
