Busoga United goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa says that he wants to play for one of the top teams in the country.

Omedwa, an outstanding shot stopper last season, will have his contract expire at the end of this month.

He is been linked to many UPL clubs including Wankulukuku based Express FC that released two goalkeepers Tony Kyamera and Joshua Adea.

He was man of the match against Proline at Lugogo, a game Busoga won 1-0 with Isma Kawawulo on target.

“I want to play more competitive football and also play for one of the top teams in the league,” Omedwa told this website.

“I want to see myself going professional but of course everyone also admires donning the national team jersey so it’s also my primary target.”

On his good performance last season, Omedwa credits Busoga’s coaching staff and club president Madam Nyago for trusting him.

“I thank my coaches and staff for believing in me and also my collegue Ali kimera for encouraging me,” he adds.

Busoga United finished fourth behind Champions Vipers, KCCA and SC Villa last season, their best placing since entering the top flight.
