Jean Sseninde Joins New Club In England

Ugandan international Jean Sseninde has joined English lower division club Wakefield Trinity Ladies FC, it’s official.

Wakefield Ladies Football Club is an English women’s football club based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The side play in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division, a fifth and sixth level of English Women football pyramid.

“To all the little girls, never be allowed to be written off when it comes to anything you love! Never put limits on what you can do to inspire a generation,” Sseninde tweeted.

“Am excited to continue my football journey next season @TrinityLFC ,Very professional club with a lot of intent!”

Last week, the club had also partnered with Sseninde’s Foundation to “help create opportunities for many girls in Women football I’m Uganda on and off the pitch.”

Sseninde has also played for London Phoenix, Charlton Athletic, QPR and Crystal Palace among other teams.
