Coach Douglas Bamweyana has revealed why he opted for Richard Wasswa as his assistant at Wakiso Giants FC.
Bamweyana recently signed a three year renewable contract with Wakiso.
He will be assisted by Richard Wasswa, while Ali Kiggundu and Steven Bengo will also stay as part of the coaching staff.
“We share a lot as humans and as coaches too – in values, beliefs and philosophy,” Bamweyana said on the choice of Wasswa, as quoted by the club.
“We’ve also been very good pals for a number of years – and have deliberated the possibility of working together for quite a while and this presented the perfect timing.”
Wasswa has also worked at Vipers and St Mary’s SS Kitendem
Bamweyana said that his objective is to become the best coach on the continent and his new assignment “presents a wonderful opportunity.”
Bamweyana is convinced with the midfield department but said that he is looking to boost the rest of other departments.
