Nyago’s Replacement At Jinja SS Revealed

Busoga United FC chairperson Hope Diana Nyago will be replaced by Isaac Balimusangayo as the new head-teacher at Jinja SS.

In January this year, Nyago had tendered in her resignation to the Ministry of Education and to the Permanent Secretary of Public Service which is a constitutional requirement for anyone joining politics.

Nyago confirmed that she will be representing the people of Njeru Municipality in the Parliament.

“This is to inform to you that in the interest of service and in your own interest, it has been decided to transfer you from Busedde Seed SS to Jinja SS with immediate effect,” reads a letter from the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports Jane K Mwesigwa to Isaac Balimusangayo.

“You are advised to conclude duties at your current station and handover in accordance with section F-d of the Uganda Public Service Standing Orders.

“By copy of this letter, Mrs Nyago Tuhumwire Dinah, the outgoing Headteacher, is advised to handover office to you upon her retirement.

“Accordingly, the chairperson, Board of Governors, Jinja SS is required to accord you the necessary support in the execution of your duties.”

It remains to be seen whether the new Jinja SS Headteacher will continue with the commendable work in sports at Jinja SS as Nyago had done.

During her reign, Nyago founded a Club football which later was named Busoga United after various transformations from Kirinya FC.

Jinja SS won the 2017 Copa Coca-cola. They are eleven-time champions in National Secondary Schools cricket week, with the girls team winning eight titles in a row between 2010 and 2018.
