Dissan Galiwango has finally joined Vipers SC, the Kitende based club has officially announced.

Galiwango joins Vipers from Express FC, a team he captained last season, ending a period of speculations that also linked the player to KCCA FC as well.

The club has said that he has put pen to paper on a four-year contract.

“In my view, Vipers is a big football brand in this country hence I’m honoured to be joining this great club. I promise to add value as expected,” Galiwango said as quoted by the club website.

Vipers coach Fred Kajoba has said that Galiwango is a player with huge potential and “also ready to come in and contribute right away which is a key factor.”

Dissan Galiwango becomes the first signing for Vipers who won the league last season after FUFA ended the football season due to Covid19 pandemic.

The hard working player is a good addition to the side that is set to compete in CAF Champions League next season.

He scored six goals in the league for Express FC last season where he was used in the front three alongside Frank Kalanda and Ssenyondo.

At Vipers, it is expected that Galiwango will be used at left back, his initial position before he was transformed by then Express coach George Ssimwogerere.

Consequently, he will have to fight for a starting place for a team that has youngster Aziz Kayondo and Farouk Musisi.

Galiwango started his playing career at Richo Soccer Academy before joining Simba SC in 2015.

He moved to Water FC in 2018 before he was bought by Express FC in August that year. He is the latest Express FC captain to leave after a season in recent past.
