Express FC have appointed Peter Tabu as the new head of communications, this website has learnt.
A close source at the club has told this website that the decision has already been approved and awaiting official communication.
Tabu is a long serving and experienced Sports Journalist who is currently working with Radio City and Football 256.
His main role will be to convey the club policies and interests to the public through media channels.
He will also be expected to monitor the public opinion about the club.
His appointment comes at a critical time when the Red Eagles are set to take a legal action against Vipers over the transfer of their captain Dissan Galiwango.
The club that has already axed 18 players has seen its respect deteriorate over time after poor performances in recent past including a 2017 season where they survived relegation on the last day of the season.
If the appointment comes to pass, Tabu will become the first official head of communications at Express FC.
Suleiman Bahat Bukenya has been working as the social media manager, while past CEOs have been improvising as PROs on most occasions.
Bernard Olupot (SC Villa), Abdul Wasike (Vipers), Moses Magero Mwanje (KCCA), Paul Kulumba (Busoga United), Patrick Ochieng (URA), Joseph Mutaka (BUL) are some of the PROs in the league.
