Kizito Luwagga Extends Stay With Israel Club

Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder William Luwagga Kizito has extended his stay at Israel Club Hapoel Kfar Saba for another season, the club has announced.

Luwagga joined Hapoel in January this year as a free agent after his contract expired with Romanian side Politenhica Lasi.

“It’s a pleasure for me to continue to represent this cool club,” Luwagga has told the club. “I believe that with perseverance and my group members, together with great work that makes even professional staff and club management will do better.”

“I believe that this is the right place for me to move forward. And I believe God will be on our side.”

Luwagga was on target last week with his lone strike in the 38th minute enough to earn Hapoel a 1-0 win over Macabbi Netanya as the league ended with his side beating relegation.

He ended the season with two goals from 10 league games having scored his first against Timothy Awany’s Ashdod FC.

Luwagga won the Uganda Premier League with Vipers in 2009/10 season.

He joined Leixoes in 2012 and has since played for Covilha, Rio Ave, Feirense, Politehnica, Bate Borisov, Shakhter Karagandy and Hapoel.
