Mike Mutyaba To Join KCCA Coaching Staff

KCCA FC are in negotiations with forward Mike ‘Suleiman’ Mutyaba to join their coaching staff, according to one of the club’s board members.

Mike Mutyaba recently announced his second retirement away from football citing heart problem.

The forward returned to active football in 2018 and signed for the 13-time league champions, two years after retiring with Express FC following an injury against Sadolin Paints FC.

KCCA FC board member who doubles as the Makindye Mayor His worship Ali Nganda Kasirye Mulyanyama, while on a radio sports talk show on 100.5 Bukedde FM, revealed:

“As KCCA FC, we still needed his services on the pitch but unfortunately he hang his boots due to health issues.

“We are doing all we can and under my capacity I’m trying as much as I can to persuade the board to retain him as a backroom member to our current technical team.

“His skills and technique are dearly needed by the young players in our development structure and we believe he will add more growth to our development side.”

Mutyaba has been an integral figure in the KCCA FC squad helping the side win their 13th league tittle in the 2018/19 season.

The former Vipers player also played for TP Mazembe and El Merriekh, plus a short spell in Futsal Super League where he emerged as the top scorer with Dream FC.
