Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) FC have made their first signing since earning Uganda Premier League status.
The club has acquired the services of former Express FC midfielder Isaac Mweru Doka.
Doka has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted outfits who will be tasting the deep waters of top flight football for the first time in their history.
Doka Mweru was among the 18 players released by Express FC recently and will be hoping to prove his doubters wrong at Musafiri Abdul Swamadu-coached side.
He joins current players at the club that include veteran striker Norman Ojik, captain Isaac Osikol, Outta Dickson, lethal target man Ibrahim Nsimbe among others.
Doka joined Express FC in 2019 from Regional league club Admin FC and has previously featured for Sebei in FUFA Drum tourney.
MYDA earned league promotion after FUFA ended the football season due to Covid19 pandemic. The side, formed in 2007, were occupying the Elgon group summit with 21 points after 11 games.
The Uganda Premier League 2020/21 season will kickoff in September, tentatively.
