Vipers coach Fred Kajoba says that he knows which players to send on loan or release during the ongoing transfer window.
Kajoba also revealed that he will be adding about two more signings as he continues to shape the squad.
Vipers, who won the league after FUFA ended the season due to Covid19, are assembling a strong squad to compete in CAF Champions League.
The club has already unveiled Dissan Galiwango (Express), Jamil Kalisa (Bright Stars) and Ibrahim Orit (Mbarara).
“To be honest, we are not interested in opinions from outside. All our signings where agreed upon a couple of months ago after identifying the areas where we lacked and needed to recruit,” Kajoba told the club website.
“It’s now six months since I came here therefore I have a clear picture on how best to improve this squad. I know the players to keep, the ones to send on loan and those to be released.”
He revealed that his aims at balancing all departments as he seeks to retain the league among other targets.
The Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach has added that he will be promoting more youngsters to the senior team after the likes of Karim Watambala, Aziz Kayondo, Ahmed Amayo, Jacob Okao, and Bobos Byaruhanga impressed.
“Others like Musa Ssali, Umar Kyebatala, Najib Yiga, Richard Basangwa and Ivan Ashaba also look ripe for the big stage.
“So we expect promotions within that area.”
Vipers are linked with Brian Aheebwa, Yunus Ssentamu and Murushid Juuko among others.
