Murushid Juuko set to join Asante Kotoko
Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko is set to join Ghana Giants Asante Kotoko, footballmadeinghana.com has reported.
The centre back has been a free agent since leaving Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca last year.
Locally, he has been linked with Vipers before the deal hit a dead end with the UPL champions failing to meet the player’s hefty demands.
The Ghanian publication has confirmed that Kotoko has unleashed $150k for the lucrative deal to beat Algerian side MC Algiers who were also in touch with the player.

Murushid who has featured for Uganda Cranes in two AFCON finals – 2017 and 2019 – will be an important figure for the club that is set to compete in CAF Champions League next season.
Asante Kotoko has won the Champions League twice – 1970 and 1983 – and have won the Ghana Premier league 24 times.
If the move materializes, Juuko will join George Abege and Joseph Ochaya among Ugandans to have featured for Asante Kotoko.
He has played for Bunamwaya (2009-2012), Victoria University (2013-2014), Tanzania’s Simba (2014-2019) and Wydad Casablanca (2019).
