KCCA FC have unveiled Uganda Cranes defender Denis Iguma on Sunday night via their show aired on Sanyuka TV.
As earlier reported by this website, Iguma has signed a two-year contract with the 13-time league champions.
He is the fourth signing for KCCA FC who added Charles Lwanga, Ashraf Mugume and Italian Stafeno Mazengo Loro.
During his first interview with KCCA, Iguma has vowed to die for his new team.
“The fans should expect the best from me. This is the Iguma who will die for the team and I am ready to give all I can for this club,” vowed Isinde.
“Joining KCCA FC makes me feel so happy because every player wants to join a competitive team like this. They have produced good and young players.
“Its a good move, and I hope to bring my experience and be an example to the youngsters on and off the pitch.”
Iguma also revealed that he wants to play in CAF (Champions League and Confederation Cup) competitions.
He repeatedly expressed how happy he was with the deal and commended the technical team of KCCA.
“I will be important to this club, I can handle pressure on the pitch. I am comfortable at right back, central defence and midfield.
Iguma who had stints with Villa and Victoria University before going overseas for greener pastures confessed that “Its good to be back” because UPL is now very “competitive.”
KCCA FC are expected to unveil Pius Obuya and the club is still linked to Ibrahim Mugulusi and Bright Anukani.
Iguma is expected to fill the void left behind by an injured John Revita in central defence and joins Musa Ramathan, Kato Samuel, Filbert Obenchan and Peter Magambo among defenders at the club.
He has played for Uganda Nationals teams U17, U20, U21 and U23. He was part of the Uganda Cranes team that played at 2017 AFCON and captained Uganda in 2014 CHAN tourney in South Africa.
