He joined Police FC two years ago, his first team in Uganda Premier League.

Last year in July, Odong was summoned for the Uganda Cranes 30-man team to prepare for 2020 CHAN Qualifiers.

He managed just one goal in the 2019/20 Uganda Premier League season as the club finished 13th with 25 points when the league was ended because of Covid19 pandemic.

Police FC, who won the league in 2005 and CECAFA Cup the following year, have vowed to put everything in order and assemble a team to regain the lost glory.

The club has so far acquired experienced Tonny Mawejje, Hassan Muhamood and Eric Ssenjobe.

Coached by Abdallah Mubiru, they have only lost Pius Kaggwa who recently joined Wakiso Giants.
