Uganda Cranes and Chicago Fire midfielder Mike Azira has advised Mustafa Kizza who completed a move to join his former team in Major League Soccer.
Montreal Impact announced the acquisition of left back Kizza from KCCA FC.
Azira, who left Montreal Impact last year, has tipped Kizza on how best he can succeed in the MLS.
He urged him to be hardworking, have a good attitude, be ready to learn, remain obedient and disciplined.
“I am happy for Kizza for his contract at Montreal and I wish him all the best but he must get prepared to work hard, be with good attitude towards fellow players because team work is key and he should be disciplined,” Azira said, via a Skype call on Sanyuka TV.
“His mentality has to be Paramount and he must be out there preparing for the challenge because if you don’t work, you won’t be on the pitch.”
Azira has also warned the new recruit to prepare for the “harsh” climatic change and language barrier.
He also believes that Kizza can as well cross to Europe, as his agent said, because the chances are there.
“Opportunity to cross to Europe are many here, there is a player recently signed by Bayern Munich and its possible for Kizza because he is still young and talented and MLS is watched in the entire world,” Azira added.
Azira has urged other players to take Kizza as an example to know that everything is possible as long as they keep working hard because chances meet those who are prepared.
Kizza will become the third known Ugandan to play in MLS After former captain Ibrahim Ssekaggya and Mike Azira.
