Express FC have rehired team doctor Ibrahim Musa Kinaabi, the club has announced.
Musa worked under coach Ssimwogerere last season before the two fell out.
Sources then said that Doctor Musa refused to follow Coach Sim’s orders of clearing some of the players despite having medical issues, before the kickoff the 2019/20 season.
Some of the players who were not cleared include Magezi Abdulrazak (Heart problem) and Jesse (who had hepatitis), and consequently was not given a license.
It is also alleged that Coach Sim insisted that Edirisa Kaaye remain on the team despite having a medical issue.
Also, in one of the games, it is said that Sim wanted the Doctor – who was about to enter the pitch to attend to an injured player – to place ‘Juju’ on the pitch, but the doctor refused because it was against his Islamic ethos.
Coach Sim also accused the doctor of giving the players ‘poisonous’ vitamins, yet the supplements were already approved.
Club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa has said that Musa is a very committed, hard working personnel.
Musa on the hand, revealed his excitement for his return, as quoted by the club website: “I am happy to be back at the club, I feel there is a lot were going to achieve next season. With the players, we are already working out a good schedule, first nutrition is key and we hope to come out of the lockdown better.”
