Bukedea Town Council Football Club has revealed interest in signing up to three players from the recently relegated Light Secondary School FC.
The three players include Stephen ‘Stones’ Oriokot, Dan ‘Dante’ Otim and goalkeeper Joshua Okwaput, our sources have learnt.
The deal to acquire all the three players is in advanced stages and official unveiling may be made this week.
Otim’s addition, if the deal comes to pass, will be a big signing for the side that struggled in the position.
Ikwaput will also partner with Emmanuel Odong as the two will have to fight for the first choice goalkeeper.
The side released veteran goalkeeper Emmanuel Opio before the end of last season, it is reported.
Towards the end of last season, the club acquired Coach Peter Onen but the former BUL tactician didn’t manage a game after football was banned due to Covid19 pandemic.
According to other sources, Bukedea is also interested in recruiting Light SS head coach Simon Otim to come as an assistant for Onen.
The club is in talks with coach Onen to extend his stay after he was brought in to temporarily steer the team until the end of the season.
Bukedea Town Council (14 points) missed the playoffs spot by just a place after finishing two points below Kataka FC (16 points) when the league was ended last season.
