Police FC Signs Another Goalkeeper

Uganda Premier League side Police FC has acquired the services of 23 year-old goalkeeper Sammon Oloka.

Oloka comes at a time when this website has reported the departure of the club’s first choice goalkeeper Davis Mutebi to BUL FC.

Earlier, Police FC acquired Tom Ikara in a move to strengthen the goalkeeping department next season.

Police FC has said that Oloka put pen to paper on a three-year deal this morning at the club offices in Kibuli, with an option for extension.

Oloka is quoted by Police FC media: “I really feel great joining Police Football Club. It was one of my aspirations to play in the top league. I am going to give it my best and the team should expect a good performance.”

He previously played for FUFA regional league teams, Lukaya Town Council Football club and Northern Elephant.

He managed to keep 15 clean sheets with Lukaya TC in the previous season attracting scouts in the process.

Police CEO Fahad Lumu lauded Oloka on joining the team: “He is a young blood joining the club with a lot to learn and a new talent to look out for.

“With the 15 clean sheets kept from his former club, he will be an asset in our goal keeping department.”

The goal keeping coach Richard Kansole on the signing of new keepers said, “We are equipping our department to make it competitive in the coming season. The two signings (Oloka and Ikara) will be instrumental to the club and we have hope in them.”

Recently, Police FC also announced that two more youngsters Bashir Kabuye and Nsubuga Mubaraka signed two-year contracts extension at the club.

Police have also signed Eric Ssenjobe, Hassan Muhamood and Tonny Mawejje.
