Federation of Uganda Football Association revealed the owners of the clubs that will play in the Uganda Premier League next season.
The list includes new comers MYDA FC and UPDF FC, with a third member yet to be determined, courtesy of the upcoming promotion playoffs.
The information of club ownership has been based on documents clubs submit to FUFA ahead of licensing.
The teams have been categorised into four – institutional, Private, Community-based and Hybrid Clubs.
There are two community clubs – Express (owned by Express sports club limited) and SC Villa (owned by Sports Club Villa Limited) – and FUFA did not dwell further than that.
The most interesting part, for our readers of course, will be the category of private clubs; For example, here you will see that Dr Lawrence Mulindwa (90%), Taddeus Kitandwe (5%) and Haruna Kyobe (5%) are the shareholders of Vipers.
