KCCA CEO Anisha Muhoozi Assures Fans Of Reclaiming Title

KCCA FC CEO Anisha Muhoozi has asked the club fans to dispel any doubts about the club’s strength ahead of 2020/21 season.

Muhoozi says that KCCA FC are targeting a double this season, including reclaiming the league title.

KCCA FC failed on their quest to defend the league title last season – After Vipers were declared champions when the league was ended due to Covid19 pandemic.

“The KCCA FC Fan should expect a colorful, competitive new season as we are geared at reclaiming the premier title or better said, winning a double,” Muhoozi told this website.

The 13-time league champions have already added Italian Stefano Mazengo Loro, Bright Anukani, Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, Denis Iguma and Bright Anukani.

The side is expected to unveil Andrew Samson Kigozi and are remain linked to Busoga United’s Isma Mugulusi.

This week, KCCA FC held a board meeting and approved financial accounts and budget for the season.

Muhoozi, Chairman Martin Ssekajja, Manager Mike Mutebi and FUFA Officials Nakiwala Kiyingi (3rd Vice President) and Decolas Kiiza (Deputy CEO football) were in attendance.

Muhoozi did not disclose the resolutions from the meeting but explained why FUFA officials were part:

“As per Fufa licensing guidelines, they (FUFA) guided that they need to be present in meeting that approves end of year financials, appoint external auditors, and budget approval.

“We have always had board meetings where many issues are discussed so this was not any special, we just included FUFA as per licensing requirement.”

As they plan to reclaim the league title, KCCA FC will also represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
