Uganda Premier League side Express FC are set to officially announce their first signing on Monday.
“We reveal our first signing on Monday but who will it be?” Express teased their fans on social media.
Sources indicate that the club has already agreed terms with Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mahad Kakooza, Charles Musiige and Abel Eturude.
Last week, Uganda Cranes defender reportedly signed for the Red Eagles and he is set to be the marquee signings for the club this season if the deal comes to pass.
Enock Walusimbi, Chrispus Kusiima, Isa Lumu, Benon Tahomera, John Byamukama, Steven Luswata, Faisal Ssekyanzi and Saddam Juma are the other players that may play for the Red Eagles next season.
Earlier, Mukwao Gwa Bangi, according to our sources axed 18 players including Lawrence Kigonya.
Consequently, Isaac Doka Mweru has since joined MYDA FC, Andrew Kiwanuka has moved to SC Villa while Tonny Kyamera moved to new comers UPDF FC.
The team will not be with Dissan Galiwango after he was unveiled by Vipers SC, however, club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka vowed that his captain was still contracted with the club and threatened to use legal means.
Last season, Express FC finished 9th with 31 points and will be hoping to mount a stronger challenge when the season kickoff on October 17, 2020.
