Luwagga Bags A Brace In Israel Toto Cup

Uganda Cranes star Luwagga Kizito continued his strong showing with a brace for his side Hapoel Kfar Saba.

His double inspired Hapoel to slash hosts Petach Tikva 4-1 in the third round of the Israel Toto Cup at HaMoshava Stadium.

Luwagga scored the first goal in the 12th minute from close range thanks to Tom Shelach assist and could later find the fourth for the club, his second on the night, when he received a long ball from his goalkeeper Matan Zalmanovich before getting the better of opponent’s Arik Janko.

Tal Machlof and Sagi Dror were also target for the visitors while Guy Hadida’s goal was just a consolation for a side that had Eitan Azulai sent off for his quick second yellow card.

Coached by Amir Turgeman, this is the first win for Luwagga’s side after 3-0 loss to Maccabi Netanya and a 1-1 draw with Hapoel Hadera.

Luwagga who joined Hapoel in January this year as a free agent after his contract expired with Romanian side Politenhica Lasi, recently renewed his contract for another year after the league ended.

He helped his side beat relegation with two goals from 10 league games having scored his first against Timothy Awany’s Ashdod FC.
