Emmanuel Okwi: Simba Target Uganda Cranes Striker

Uganda Cranes Striker Emmanuel Okwi is set to sign for Tanzanian Giants Simba SC again.

Reports in Tanzania have told this website that Simba seek to re-sign the target man as they seek to assemble a strong squad to compete in CAF Champions League next season.

Msimbazi have already acquired three foreigners in Larry Bwalya (Zambia), Joash Onyango (Kenya) and Bernard Morrison (Ghana).

They have as well signed Charles Ilamfia from Kinondoni and David Kameta (Lipuli FC).

Okwi signed for Egypt Premier League side Al Ittihad last year for two years after a successful AFCON tourney with Uganda Cranes where he scored two goals as the side reached AFCON round of 16.

Okwi has been seen in Uganda of recent, and it is not known whether his two-year contract with Ittihad was terminated.

The lethal striker is still linked to a move to South Africa’s PSL as well.

If the move to Simba SC comes to pass, this will be Okwi’s fourth stint at the club he has played for in 2010-2013, 2014-2015 and 2017-2019.

He has also featured for SC Villa, Etoile du Sahel, Young Africans and Sonderjyske
