MYDA FC Hands Mutebi Three-Year Contract Extension

Newly promoted UPL side MYDA FC have extended the contract of midfielder Eric Mutebi for the next three years.

The Malaba-based club has put trust in Mutebi who didn’t feature in any game due to injury problems last season.

“He is now fine and back to play for the team, but he played for us in the regional league and he was part of the team that was promoted to big league,” MYDA FC head of communications Mika Andre assured The-SportsNation.

Mutebi is a former Kansai Plascon player with a strong right foot, and will put on jersey number 10 next season.

He has expressed his delight after recovering from a season-long injury.

Mutebi said:

“I am really happy that I have recovered from my injury and agreed terms with the club on my contract extension of 3 years.

“It’s bad that last season I didn’t feature in any game in big league but I am pretty much sure I will do all that it takes with my fellow players, coaches to maintain our team in the league since it’s our first season in UPL.”

MYDA, coached by Abdusamadu Musafiri, have so far signed Ramathan Yakubu, Isaac Doka Mweru and Waiswa Kasongo.
