We earlier asked you to send your Sports questions about all sports disciplines, and well, we got some good feedback from the readers, and we hope for more in the coming weeks.

Sam Gattuso (via Email), Where is Fimbo?

SportsNation; By Fimbo, I hope you mean Andrew Fimbo Mukasa – the former Uganda Cranes and SC Villa striker greatly remembered for his 45-goal 1999 season.

This is no longer news that Fimbo (as you prefer to call him) suffered with mental illness.

In June, I wrote a story about Fimbo after Journalist Kalyango visited him. He stays in Wakaliga (Natete) with his mother Grace Nandawula Namujjuzi and the two can confirm that there has been some improvement. Earlier before the Lockdown, it is said that he was staying with City Pastor Brother Ronnie Makbayi. Since, he has been visited by Former players, Fans and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who gave him Sh2m and food items.

This one called himself Stylar (via WhatsApp), asked; Where is Muzamir Mutyaba heading?

SportsNation: I guess he wants to know which team Muzamir Mutyaba will be playing for Next season.

For Starters, KCCA FC has not confirmed the release of Mutyaba. Although Mike Mutyaba was quoted as saying that he is now a surplus to requirements. And the recent additions including Bright Anukani shows that KCCA FC are already preparing for life without Mutyaba.

The question is a tricky one, but let me take it as it is. I cannot see Mutyaba playing for any other UPL team next season, may be URA FC. They have already taken up on Jackson Nunda (from KCCA) and I guess they can pick up on Mutyaba as well.

But all clues point to a deal outside Uganda. With Azam FC (home to Nicholas Wadada) strong favorites. I don’t want to commit myself on this though.

Hakim Ssejengo asked; I was told that Express is owned by Kabaka. Is it true?

SportsNation; Interesting question.
To answer you, Express FC is owned by Express Sports Club Limited, that is according to the information FUFA provided to the public earlier this month where they categorised the Red Eagles as a Community Club, alongside SC Villa.

If I am to breakdown it down for you, the Express FC report of 2018/19 revealed the following as Express Sports Club Limited Shareholders;

-Vincent Bbale Mugera

  • Godfrey Kirumira
  • Samuel Kiryowa Kiwanuka
  • Francis Kabone Buwule
  • Jackson Mande Mugalu
  • Robert Ssenabulya Sawa
  • Henry Ssenoga
  • Margaret Nampiima Kiwanuka
(All the eight holding one share each)
