Express FC have confirmed acquisition of attacking midfielder Godfrey Lwesibawa as their latest signing.
Lwesibawa makes a return to Express FC and has joined on a two-year deal. He played for the club from 2013 to 2016.
He has expressed his delight for the second coming and revealed that he wants to win trophies with the club.
Lwesibwa is quoted by the club website;
“I am so happy to rejoin the club and the ambitions couldn’t be any different, we all want to win the league a feat we can all achieve if we work as a unit.”
He reunites with coach Wasswa Bbosa who he played for at Tooro United and SC Villa.
He was on and off for Tooro United last season following wage disputes with the club and he almost signed for Express FC in the January Window.
However, in the ongoing window, reports suggested that Lwesibawa had joined UPL side BUL FC.
Lwesibawa has speed and can beat off opponents with his technique. He has an eye for goal and his creativity as well will boost Express FC’s attacking prowess.
With Frank Ssenyondo expected to take on the opposite wing, Express FC may prove to be hard to stop from the flanks as they target their first league title since 2011/12 season.
Lwesibawa joins other five new additions at the club that include Crispus Kusiima, Denis Otim, Richard Bbosa, Abel Eturude and Mustafa Kiragga.
