KCCA FC have promoted Dominic Ayella from the vibrant Junior team as the side strengthens for the 2020/21 season.

Ayella, 18 years, made the Copa Coca-cola team of the 2019 championship while playing at St Joseph College Layibi.

The young attacker, speaking with confidence, promised fans a “smile” and goals.

Speaking to the KCCA media, Ayella started: “I thank the Lord, Club management and the Technical team.”

“I am very grateful for the promotion, it is a dream come true and it has been hard work to reach here. I have put much effort to get this chance.”

Ayella is a student at Masaka SS doing PEM and has expressed his readiness to juggle both studies and football efficiently because he will have the “right schedule.”

He added: “As a forward, I hope to score many goals, and always make sure that I contribute more to the team to win.”

He admires Allan Okello and PSG star Neymar Junior.

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi says that his new kid will be able to execute the roles accordingly.

“We have prepared them (Junior team players) to have confidence, they are young but they believe in themselves,” Mutebi said.

The gaffer added that he is not concerned by the fact that Ayella will be juggling both football and books.

“Its a good dilemma, no problem for him. Okello and Julius Poloto were in the same scenario as well.

“He is a good addition, the game needs energetic players who can run 90 minutes non stop and he will add something to the team.

“We lost creativity when okello departed, we looked flat and we hope to look better next season.”
