Zlatko Krmpotic: New Yanga Coach Convinced With Available Players

New Young Africans coach Zlatko Krmpotic is convinced with the available players at the club ahead of the 2020/21 league kickoff.

Yanga, as commonly known, face Tanzania Prisons this Sunday as the Tanzania Premier League kicks off.

On Sunday, the club beat Burundi’s Aigle Noir 2-0 in a well attended friendly as the club celebrated ‘SportPesa Wiki Ya Mwananchi’ at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

“Let me thank the support from Yanga fans who came on big number to watch this game. This is the first match for me and I do not know every player but I am sure that the few days we have to train together are enough to make players know each other better,” said the new gaffer as quoted by Daily News.

“My promise to Yanga fans is work and discipline. We have good players who need to be given ample time to make the team click. But Yanga need no time, they deserve to be on top and I will do my best to facilitate that.”

Tuisila Kisinda and Michael Sarpong were on target for Yanga.

Yanga had earlier appointed Cedric Kaze before he turned down the offer to replace sacked Belgian Luc Eymael.

Last season, Yanga finished second (72) behind Simba who had 88 points SC.

With 22 titles, Yanga are yet to taste triumph since completing a three-peat in the 2016/17 season.
