KCCA FC have unveiled former Uganda Premier League top scorer Juma Balinya.
The attacking midfielder cum forward, scored 19 goals in the 2018/19 season while at Police FC to win the UPL golden boot.
The former St Mary’s SS Kitende student, has played for Kampala Kids League, Vipers, Lweza, Police, Young Africans and Gor Mahia.
He was unveiled on Sunday night during the Club’s show on Sanyuka TV.
“I feel so good because KCCA is the best club in Uganda and every player would wish to play for,” started Balinya.
“I am looking forward to playing good and I am working hand in hand to see that I win another golden boot again here because they have a good platform.
“They are the most professional club in the country. I saw them as a stepping stone to achieve my goals. I am ready to compete and I will work harder because I want to be the best.”
He joins KCCA after ending his spell with Kenyan Giants Gor Mahia, a side he joined in January this year.
It is said that Balinya terminated his Gor Mahia contract after going seven months without pay and owed the club part of his sign-on fees.
He was linked to a move to moneybags Wazito (Kenya), Asante Kotoko (Ghana) and Azam FC in Tanzania before opting to return home.
KCCA FC who also promoted Dominic Ayella to the senior team, have so far unveiled Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga, Ashraf Mugume, Denis Iguma, Bright Anukani, Brian Aheebwa and Samson Kigozi as new signings.
