KCCA FC have confirmed the exit of veteran Midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba as the club’s squad continues to take shape ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The development was confirmed by KCCA FC head of communications during the club’s show on Sanyuka TV on Sunday night.
Muzamir – longest serving player at the club in the current squad – ends his stay at the club since joining from the defunct Victoria University FC in 2015.
His time at Lugogo has seen him help the club reach the 2017 CAF Champions League group stages, a historical achievement no Uganda club has ever reached.
He was named the 2017 Airtel FUFA Player of the year, beating Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Taddeo Lwanga to the accolade.
He has won four UPL trophies and Three Uganda Cups and 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup among others.
He was considered as surplus to requirements by coach Mike Mutebi after managing just one goal last season – He scored against Vipers.
The-SportsNation sources have it that the player is being poached by Azam FC (Tanzania) and Kenya’s AFC Leopards.
