Hannington Ssebwalunyo: URA FC Confirms Second Signing

Uganda Premier League side URA FC have confirmed signing goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo.

Ssebwalunyo, who joins from Maroons FC, is the second addition for the Tax collectors who initially signed attacking midfielder Jackson Nunda.

The club who appointed Henry Mayeku as CEO, also handed Ronald Kigongo a three-year contract renewal.

URA FC also wanted goalkeeper Tom Ikara before he joined Police FC.

“Its a pleasure for me to join URA, its a big institution and it has been my childhood dream to play for this team. Its a dream come true for me and I just fell at home currently,”

Coached by Sam Ssimbwa, URA FC are expected to unveil Steven Mukwala, Bashir Mutanda and David Owori among other new signings.

Ahead of the 2020/21 season, URA will seek to improve on their fifth position last term after finishing with 40 points in a league that was ended prematurely due to Covid19 pandemic.

The side has won the UPL title four times, joint in fourth place with Vipers but below record winners SC Villa (16), KCCA (13) and Express FC (6).
