Uganda Among Beneficiaries As Chipper, Roma Partner To Lift Communities

Largest mobile cross-border money transfer platform in Africa, Chipper, and Italian giants AS Roma have on Thursday announced a partnership which will aid underprivileged communities on the African community.

Chipper has joined Roma as the official money transfer platform for Africa.

In a press briefing in Kampala, it has been revealed that balls will be distributed in communities in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa.

“This partnership will help in impacting African communities,” started Dan Tumuramye, Chipper Country Manager Uganda.

“We will give out balls which are handmade in Kenya and designed specifically for the type of pitches and long lasting. The balls will be issued out to grassroots programs in communities facing disadvantage including Uganda.”

Renown Singer Spice Diana has been unveiled as the ambassador for the campaign.

“I just cannot wait to do my part, I love charity because it is good to share,” said Spice who confessed that she is an AS Roma fan.

“I’m already excited before we even start. I encourage all my fans and Ugandans at large to start using Chipper platform because its the easiest way to send Money.”

Chipper was founded by two African entrepreneurs Ham Serunjogi and Maijid Moujaled, and the company operates in seven African countries.

It has been announced that the partnership has designed a set of drills which incorporates financial education with football training.
