KCCA FC Ends Transfer Business – Aggrey Ashaba

KCCA FC Vice Chairman Aggrey Ashaba has told The-SportsNation that the club has concluded their Transfer business ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 13-time UPL winners have added 11 players for the 2020/21 season including Dominic Ayella who was promoted from their Junior team.

The club has lost a couple of players headlined by Mustafa Kizza who will be leaving MLS side Montreal Impact in December.

“We are closed,” Ashaba told The-SportsNation when contacted.

Ashaba says that they have made many signings to fill the void left behind by departed players.

“We sold five players last season while four contract run downs, what would your advice be for a club in that situation?

“You’re also aware that the Junior Team was brought back down to 16 years and the current team has just played only one season.”

The club has recently dominated media space this week after unveiling Andrew Kawooya, in what has turned out to be a controversial transfer, from Vipers.

Known for nurturing their own talent, Ashaba says that this is still the club’s norm.

“This has never changed, Even with lowering the age for the Junior team, we have Ayella (Dominic) and Kizza (Joseph Bukenya) in the senior squad.

Clubs like UPDF FC and Express FC have made almost overhaul changes to their playing squad, which has been a habit before every season since recent memory.
