Police Reopens Quest For Godfrey Walusimbi

Uganda Premier League side Police FC has reignited their chase to acquire defender Godfrey ‘Jaja Walu’ Walusimbi.

At the start of this month, Police FC pulled out of the Walusimbi move with coach Abdallah Mubiru saying that the left back had got a lucrative deal in South Africa.

Reliable sources have told The-SportsNation that Walusimbi is set to complete his move to Police FC, awaiting official unveiling.

If the deal comes to pass, Walusimbi will become the second Uganda Cranes star player to join Police in this window. The side signed Tonny Mawejje recently.

Hassan Muhamood, Tom Ikara, Sammon Oloka, Muwadda Mawejje, Derrick Ochan, Eric Ssenjobe, Arnold Ssembuya, Frank Zaga and Duncan Sseninde are the other new signings at the club.

Walusimbi will be a valuable asset for Police whose leaky defence has eluded them a league title since 2005.

Walusimbi has been a free agent since leaving Albanian side KF Vllaznia, a side he joined in September last year.

He has also featured for SC Villa, Vipers, Don Bosco, Gor Mahia and Kaizer Chiefs.
