Rashid Okocha Extends Stay At Onduparaka FC

Onduparaka FC fullback Rashid Okocha has renewed his contract at the West Nile giants.

The club has confirmed the developments in a short video posted on Twitter with the caption “Jay Jay is staying.”

Okocha has been linked with a move away from the club with KCCA and BUL strong contenders.

The left back, who can play in advanced positions as well, joined Onduparaka in June 2017 from Nebbi Central.

His stay will be a big boost for the Caterpillars who have lost their big names each passing season.

Hassan Muhamood, Abel Eturude and Ezra Bida are the latest departures at the club after the trio joined Police, Express and Kyetume in that order.

After finishing eighth with 31 points last season, the Caterpillars who have appointed Vialli Bainomugisha as the new coach, will be hoping to mount a formidable challenge next season.

New recruits include Ronald Odokonyero, Moses Okot, Noel Nasasira, Oscar Agaba, Gabriel Matata, Jerry Jakisa, Bony Musema among others.
