Uganda Women Under-17 team held their first training session today at Startimes stadium in Lugogo.
The team is preparing to face Cameroon on October 31, 2020 in Kampala in the FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifiers.
Head coach Ayub Khalifa tested positive for Covid19 and the team is currently the stewardship of assistant coach brenda Namuyanja.
“Today we officially kicked off with our first training as we prepare to play Cameroon on the 31 october2020,” Namuyanja said.
“Our girls are not so badly off, today we concentrated much on conditioning and awakening the player’s bodies to bring them into action.”
“Before today, we have been sending them different training tactics via social media on what to do and also to polish on their game reading.”
The team is staying at Cranes hotel in Kisasi with 30 players in Camp.
The winner between Uganda and Cameroon in both legs will qualify directly to FIFA under-17 World Cup which will be hosted in Mumbai India in 2021.
