Villa Seeks To Use Wankulukuku As New Home

Sports Club Villa wants to use Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku as their new home for the 2020/21 season.

The club, UPL record winners, sent their request to Wankulukuku management last month.

“As you may know Sports Club Villa has always been hosted at Mandela National
Stadium, Namboole in Bweyogerere, Wakiso, reads an excerpt from the letter.

“The Stadium has been declared as a COVID-19 treatment center hence leaving us without home ground.

“We therefore write to the management of Muteesa II Stadium applying to be hosted here for the 2020/2021 season.

“We hope that management gives us the permission to access and host all our home games at the stadium.”

Villa hosted some of their games in Bombo Barracks ground last season due to the unavailability of Namboole.

Moving in to Wankulukuku, if the permission is granted, Villa will join eternal rivals Express FC for ground share.
