Express FC Adds Ainebyona On Technical Team

Uganda Premier League side Express FC has strengthened their technical team ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The Red Eagles have on Tuesday appointed Lewis Ainebyona as the performance analyst in a new club role.

Ainebyona will be required to assess the performance of the players and club in general, advise the coaching staff accordingly to make informed decisions.

He will give a tactical assessment through use of video and statistics on the data of the players at the club among other roles.

“Being a club with history and having existed for all that long showed that there was stability and sustainability. Also getting a chance to work with the coaches who are legends in Ugandan football attracted me to learn from the very best” Ainebyona is quoted by the club website.

“My target to grow in my department, help the team win trophies, participate in the African club competitions and also strive to be one of the leading football performance analysts in Uganda.”

He is the latest addition on the technical team which was recently boosted by the addition of Strength and conditioning coach Helen Buteme.

The club is expected to announce the appointment of Daniel Kiwanuka as the new goalkeepinh coach to replace Sam Kawalya.

The technical team is headed by Coach Wasswa Bbosa who is assisted by James Odoch while Ayub Balyejusa is the trainer.

Who is Lewis Ainebyona?
Born in Rubaga Hospital, Ainebyona studied at Kampala Quality, Ntale SS , Namilyango and Makerere University Business School.

He moved to United Kingdom for further studies in 2017 where he studied at Solent University in Southampton. He managed to feature for English non-league clubs like Sway FC and Athletico Romsey among others.
